SCOUT REVIEW
The Omnia hotel is a modern, stylish five-star hotel in Zermatt that offers guests easy access to the main street, fine dining, comfortable rooms and service that is second-to-none. The Omina is a member of the Design Hotels network.
Upon arriving at the entry tunnel from the main street its modern industrial style can be quite overwhelming. All the granite stone, steel, wood and glass is quite spectacular and the scale of it is aweinspiring. You feel like you're entering the lair's cave in a James Bond movie.
An elevator whizzes you up to the hotel which is perched high up above the main street, allowing it to benefit from incredible views across the valley and of the Matterhorn. The lobby area is in contrast with the arrival, the warm colours from the wood and the lounges and fireplace are inviting and cosy.
The staff at The Omnia ensure check in is personal and quick with welcome drinks and snacks often offered to help you settle in.
Each room at The Omnia is unique with its own layout and design. Whether you go for a basic Queen Room or opt for luxury with the Omnia Roof Suite, you are guaranteed a comfortable stay with plush bedding, stylish ensuites and large windows. The style of the rooms is minimalist Alpine style. The huge windows are perfect for capturing the incredible views.
If you’re looking for a culinary ski vacation, you won’t be disappointed with the cuisine on offer at the on-site Michelin-starred restaurant! Each dish is served up with flair and the tastes are exquisite. There is also a bar which has live music most nights.
As you would expect of a five-star hotel, The Omnia provides guests with a luxurious spa and wellness center. The modern spa includes an indoor/outdoor pool, a Turkish bath, sauna, steam bath and relaxation room. The outdoor Jacuzzi offers incredible views over the alpine landscape and is an amazing place to watch the sun go down. In addition, the hotel offers a gym and studio with exercise classes available for guests.
While the location of Omina is fantastic for quick access to the main street, it is a 10 minute walk to the Gornegrat Bahn station to get to the slopes. Most guests take taxis to one of the lifts. The hotel offers a complimentary pick up and drop off from the Station for arrival and departure.
