SCOUT REVIEW
The Sun Peaks Grand is the most luxurious hotel in Sun Peaks. It has a prime location and just a stone’s throw away from all the village’s restaurants, bars and shops and of course the ski slopes too! It is a huge hotel and has more of a “city hotel” ambiance with its big reception area, lobby and facilities such as conference and meeting rooms. Adjoining the hotel are the residences, with their own separate lobby area. These residences are beautifully decorated in a classic style. They’re huge and perfect for larger groups and those staying a while longer.
The Sun Peaks Grand hotel has 221 rooms and 41 residences, all of which have undergone a recent refurbishment giving it a very contemporary chic look. Hotel room types range from “Deluxe” hotel rooms with upgrades that include balconies, views and suites. Some rooms also have a small kitchenette. The hotel has a summit floor where rooms are bigger and have mountain views. Aside from upgraded bathroom facilities and modern amenities, guests on this floor have have access to the Summit Floor Lounge which includes continental breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres, and complimentary tea and coffee.
Sun Peaks Grand has excellent facilities and services including, among others, a huge health club with top-of-the line gym facilities, a sauna, a heated outdoor pool with a fantastic view of the slopes and three outdoor hot tubs. The swimming pool and hot tubs do get quite busy during the peak season.
There’s an on-site restaurant called Mantles Restaurant. It is open from 7 am to 9 pm daily and offers a "family friendly" all-day dining option. Next door is Mantles Lounge which specialises in comfort food. Closer to the residences is Morrisey’s Public House, an intimate British style pub (and a fantastic spot for après).
Who should stay here
The Sun Peaks Grand hotel is ideal for couples, families or group of friends who desire luxurious ski accommodation, facilities and amenities. It is also ideal for those who want to be right where the action is.
