SCOUT REVIEW
Nozawa Onsen Hotel is a simple, comfortable hotel in the heart of the village of Nozawa Onsen with an ideal location for enjoying the slopes and exploring the town and its amenities.
The hotel is situated halfway between the Yu Road travelator and the Nagasaka Gondola thus providing relatively easy access to both base areas. It's also a close walk to the main street so you're never far from the action.
Nozawa Onsen Hotel offers guests the choice of a Western or Japanese-style room with traditional tatami mats and futons or Western twin beds. The more premium rooms feature western beds in Japanese style rooms, complete with their own private onsen baths on balconies. The western rooms are all renovated and new - they feel like a very fresh change to many of the dated western rooms we commonly see in Japanese hotels. The hotel also offers both Western and Japanese breakfast options, with coffee available in the lobby until 10am and toasters on each table for you to warm up your food as you wish.
As the name suggests, the Nozawa Onsen Hotel features its own hot spring onsens that are the perfect place to relax after a day on the slopes. There are some public options and another private bath that you can book for your group at reception. The hotel also offers a footbath upon entry so that you can soak your weary skier feet before heading up to your room.
