SCOUT REVIEW
Yama Shizen is a stylish and well-appointed condominium complex in the heart of Niseko Hirafu, perfectly designed for travelers who prefer a little extra space and independence without sacrificing comfort. The apartments range from one- to three-bedroom options, with penthouses offering panoramic views of Mt. Yotei and the surrounding ski fields. Each unit comes with a fully equipped kitchen, dining and lounge area, laundry facilities, and modern bathrooms — making it an ideal home base for longer ski holidays.
While Yama Shizen Niseko doesn’t offer traditional hotel facilities like a restaurant or spa, its focus on convenience and functionality makes it stand out among self-contained accommodations in the area. The ski valet and drying rooms make gearing up for the slopes easy, and the short walk to the Ace Family Lift means guests can be skiing within minutes. After a day on the mountain, it’s just a few minutes to Niseko’s vibrant dining scene, with a variety of izakayas, bars, and cafés close by.
The property’s minimalist Japanese design, combined with warm wooden tones and large windows, creates a calming and contemporary atmosphere. Service is friendly and efficient, and the staff are well-versed in catering to international guests. For those seeking a comfortable, high-quality stay with all the benefits of self-catering, Yama Shizen is an excellent choice in Niseko.
Who should stay here
Perfect for families, groups of friends, and independent travelers wanting spacious, well-equipped accommodation close to both the slopes and Niseko’s village nightlife.
Scout Customer Reviews
We loved Yama Shizen - good clean facilities, apartment was huge which was what we needed with 2 teenagers and location was perfect close to supermarket and restaurants. We loved that we could do the check in process in our rooms once we arrived and not have to stand around reception area with suitcases and the second day bin collection and mid week clean was wonderful to have.
