SCOUT REVIEW
Trappeur’s Crossing Resort is a long-time favorite among Steamboat visitors who want the comforts of home with the perks of a resort. Located just a few blocks from Steamboat’s gondola base, this condominium complex offers a warm and relaxed atmosphere ideal for ski vacations with family or friends.
The resort is made up of several buildings—Bear Lodge, Timberline, Emerald, and others—each offering spacious condos ranging from one to five bedrooms. Every unit includes a full kitchen, living area with fireplace, private balcony, and in most cases, laundry facilities. While interiors vary based on individual ownership, many have been recently updated with modern mountain décor and comfortable furnishings.
Guests at Trappeur’s Crossing enjoy an impressive lineup of amenities. After a day on the slopes, unwind in one of several outdoor hot tubs or take a dip in the pool. There’s also a fitness center, sauna, and tennis courts for year-round recreation. The resort’s complimentary winter shuttle makes getting to the ski lifts, restaurants, and downtown Steamboat hassle-free—one of the biggest conveniences for guests.
Service is a standout here. The on-site staff is known for being friendly, responsive, and eager to help, whether arranging ski storage, recommending local dining, or helping coordinate grocery delivery. While the property lacks an in-house restaurant or bar, the nearby base area and downtown offer plenty of dining options within minutes.
Trappeur’s Crossing Resort perfectly balances comfort, space, and value for Steamboat visitors seeking a relaxed, residential-style ski getaway.

About Steamboat
Steamboat Ski Resort is located in northwestern Colorado about a 4-hour drive from Denver. Don’t let the more isolated location turn you off – it works in its favor since it creates a town with a unique character, away from the weekend hoards that flock to resorts closer to Denver. And with endless intermediate terrain, tons of extra activities, and a fantastic après scene, Steamboat makes a great choice.
