SCOUT REVIEW
The Village at Palisades is the beating heart of Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw Valley), perfectly positioned for travelers who want to be right in the action. This slopeside complex blends modern condo comfort with a fun, mountain-town vibe that keeps guests coming back season after season.
Accommodation options range from cozy one-bedrooms to roomy three-bedroom condos, all featuring gas fireplaces, full kitchens, and balconies that often frame stunning views of the Sierra Nevada peaks. It’s a perfect setup for families or groups who like the freedom of self-catering while enjoying resort amenities.
Skiers and riders couldn’t ask for a better location—just steps from the base area lifts, ski school, and rental shops. After a big day on the mountain, you can wander through the pedestrian village for craft beers, gourmet pizza, or live music without ever needing a car. There’s even a few outdoor hot tubs tucked between the buildings, ideal for soaking sore legs under the stars.
The property’s atmosphere is lively and social—expect more bustle than serenity, particularly on weekends and holidays. However, for those who thrive on energy and convenience, The Village at Palisades delivers one of Lake Tahoe’s most complete ski-in/ski-out experiences.
Who should stay here

About Palisades Tahoe
Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows) is a mammoth ski resort area, with almost 4000 acres of terrain - and not just any terrain, some of the best in North America. Ask any Tahoe local where the best extreme skiing is and they’ll answer Palisades. On any powder day the die-hards flock to KT-22 – sometimes it’s more fun just watching them hucking off terrifying cliffs than skiing yourself. That said, this resort has more than enough intermediate and beginner terrain to keep everyone grinning ear to ear, and boasts one of the longest ski seasons in the whole of the USA. Team this up with dramatic alpine scenery and some of the most progressive terrain, spread across 14 popular mountain zones, Palisades Tahoe is right up there as one of our go-to ski destinations in the USA.
