SCOUT REVIEW
Saddle Ridge Townhomes at Big Sky, Montana, offer the perfect balance between the independence of a private mountain home and the convenience of ski-in/ski-out access. Tucked into the Moonlight Basin area, these multi-level townhomes blend rustic Montana style—think timber beams, stone fireplaces, and warm interiors—with modern amenities to make a ski vacation both comfortable and authentic.
Each townhome at Saddle Ridge is individually owned, so the style and finishes vary, but most include fully equipped kitchens, spacious living areas, laundry facilities, and outdoor decks with sweeping views of Lone Peak or the Madison Valley. Many feature private hot tubs—a true treat after a long day on the slopes.
From Saddle Ridge, skiers can access Big Sky Resort directly, depending on snow conditions and lift operations, making it a genuine ski-in/ski-out option. The Iron Horse and Pony Express lifts are nearby, connecting guests to the vast Big Sky terrain with ease. During summer months, the area transforms into a hub for hiking and mountain biking, with equally impressive scenery.
While there’s no central front desk or on-site restaurant, guests appreciate the privacy and quiet that comes with townhouse living. Families and groups especially enjoy the space and convenience of multiple bedrooms and private garages. For those looking for a full-service resort experience, Big Sky’s Mountain Village is just a short drive away, offering dining, après options, and retail shops.
Overall, Saddle Ridge Townhomes combine the best of Montana mountain living with easy access to some of the best skiing in North America.

About Big Sky
Big Sky Montana used to be one of skiing’s best kept secrets. While the word about this fantastic resort has gotten out, the resort just continues to get better – especially since it acquired two neighboring resorts, including Moonlight Basin. Offering the largest skiable terrain in Montana (over 5800 acres!), Big Sky also boasts one of the biggest vertical drops in North America - a staggering 4366 feet - meaning incredible steep slopes, chutes, and leg-burning runs, along with plenty of intermediate and beginner terrain.
