SCOUT REVIEW
Prestige Mountain Resort Rossland is a great medium size hotel for skiers who want to access the Red Mountain ski resort which is just a short journey away. This region (the 'Powder Highway') has some of the best ski runs in Canada, incredible powder snow, and authentic mountain town vibes.
The rooms at Prestige Mountain Resort are simple and comfortable throughout and feature all the standard facilities you would expect of a great hotel. Rooms are often available with various view options to choose from (mountain vs.city), and feature either a king bed or two queens, so you can sleep up to 4 guests comfortably in each room. The suites offer a little more space to spread out, and feature a small kitchenette with basic cooking facilities (including microwave, cooktop, pots and pans).
Prestige Mountain Resort features some quality communal amenities, such as the hot tub, sauna, fitness room and arcade. Although these are on the small side, they are a good place to relax after a day on the slopes. There is an Italian restaurant, lounge bar and a café on-site all of which serve delicious cuisine. Breakfast is offered at Caffe Gabriella.
Although the Red Mountain Resort is a drive away (5 minutes), there is a free bus service that runs daily from the hotel so access is easy and convenient. They have an onsite locker room and tuning area to keep those skis in top condition throughout your stay.

About Red Mountain
Away from all the crowds and purpose-built ski resorts, Red Mountain boasts some of the best powder skiing in North America. Unfettered by overdevelopment, the resort boasts a distinct lack of crowds, fresh lines, and a rich mountain tradition. The resort itself is one of a kind, with 360 degree descents, incredible off-piste, and in-resort cat-skiing. Wide-open groomed runs, epic vertical, annual snowfall of almost 7.6m, and the best tree runs in BC, it's truely a wonder that Red has remained under the radar over the years. Canada's best-kept secret has to be explored to be believed!
