Micasa Minakami is a friendly, family-run ryokanin Minakami village that aims to create a home-away-from-home experience while you're in the mountains of Japan. This traditional onsen hotel features tatami mat rooms, indoor and outdoor onsens and offers Japanese dining that is to die for.
Micasa Minakami offers an authentic ryokan experience with just 12 rooms in total meaning each guest receives excellent service throughout their stay.
Guests are provided with Japanese yukatas and slippers for use within the hotel and the onsens (both public and private) are the perfect place to relax and soothe your aching muscles after a day on the slopes. Some rooms have their own private open-air bathtubs in their garden verranda which is ideal for those seeking additional privacy and comfort. Rooms either have a view of the river or no view (buildings or garden).
Meals at Micasa Minakami are traditional, Japanese multi-course meals which give you a taste of seasonal produce crafted with professional flair.
Micasa Minakami is located at one end of the Minakami village main street so there are a few nearby restaurants and bars. It's possible to choose a bed and breakfast package, or half-board.

About Minakami Area
Just one hour from Tokyo by train, the Minakami area is an excellent destination for those wishing to have an off-the-beaten-path Japanese ski adventure. There are about a dozen small ski resorts within 20-90 minutes’ drive from Minakami village which makes it a great base from which to explore the area.
