SCOUT REVIEW
Marmot Lodge is a great option for ski accommodation in Jasper. Located in the heart of the town, everything you need is easily accessible - most of the main part of town is about a 10-15 minute easy walk, while the shuttle bus for Marmot Basin leaves from right outside.
There are a range of rooms available at Marmot Lodge, including standard hotel rooms as well as suites with kitchens for those looking for self-contained accommodation in central Jasper. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, each with ensuite facilities, tea and coffee machines, mini fridge and wifi throughout. The rooms can feel a little dated, with plaid furnishings and dark wood accents, so Scout recommends upgrading to the Deluxe rooms which are a little more modern than the standard rooms. The Kitchen Deluxe rooms offer an additional living space and there are a number of bedding configurations to choose from.
Marmot Lodge also has some fantastic on-site facilities, including the Embers Steakhouse restaurant, relaxed Fireside lounge bar (ideal for après), and health centre with large pool, sauna and hot tub. With 107 rooms, Marmot Lodge is big enough to have all the amenities you need while not being overwhelmingly busy.
Marmot Lodge is a great value hotel option in Jasper, ideal for couples and families and with good on-site facilities.

About Marmot Basin
Marmot Basin, located in the stunning Jasper National Park, is a fantastic and affordable option for individuals and families in Canada. The resort is a little smaller than others in the Alberta region, however don't let this dissuade you - Marmot boasts a great variety of terrain, relaxed and friendly mountain atmosphere, uncrowded slopes, and virtually no lift lines (what we like to hear!). Enjoy long groomed runs, open alpine bowls, and memorable tree skiing during the day, and an authentic Canadian Rockies mountain village feel at night in the nearby town of Jasper. It's a small town feeling with world class facilities and skiing which has us dreaming of heading back to Marmot Basin!
