SCOUT REVIEW
Le Prieuré is a recently renovated chalet hotel which offers guest modern accommodation, good facilities and perhaps the highlight: a fantastic location.
Le Prieuré is located in the heart of Chamonix with the local shops, bars and restaurants on your doorstep. There are loads of places to purchase ski and outdoorwear, delicious local chocolate and other souvenirs. The hotel lies just a few minutes from one of the main bus stops in Chamonix which offers a free service to a number of ski lifts around the area as well as to other villages. This gives guests the chance to explore a variety of slopes without the worry of private transportation.
Rooms at the hotel are spacious and comfortable (although it has to be said the walls are a little thin). The style has been modernised throughout so facilities are new and rooms are bright and airy. Each room features spectacular alpine views and most have a balcony to make the most of this.
The restaurants at Le Prieuré serves breakfast and dinner (surcharge), with La Rotisser serving scrumptious roasted meats and From Haute Savoie producing local classics like fondue and raclette.
Who should stay here
Le Prieuré is great for couples and groups looking for a good value three-star ski hotel in Chamonix with a fantastic location. There is a fun après-ski vibe in the bar downstairs which promises hours of fun!
Location
Le Prieuré is well located right on the edge the center of Chamonix with all the local amenities on your doorstep and a bus stop just 3 minutes away to take you to the surrounding lifts and cable cars. If you’d prefer not to catch the bus, the Aiguille de Midi ski lift is just a six minute walk from the hotel.

About Chamonix
Sitting in the shadow of Mont Blanc, Chamonix is a mecca for extreme skiers with almost everything about the place being big and steep. The thriving town is heaving with fat-ski-carrying, harness-wearing mountain types, and there are several resorts in the area to choose from. If you’re an intermediate or beginner, fear not as you don’t need to be an expert to enjoy a trip to Chamonix.
