SCOUT REVIEW
Nestled in the heart of Val d’Isère village, La Savoyarde offers genuine alpine charm with its wood-panelled interiors, stone fireplace lounge, and generations-deep hospitality tradition. Run by a local family, this three star boutique hotel delivers a cozy atmosphere and personal service in spades.
Though its 44 guest rooms are modest in size, they are clean and comfortably furnished, many featuring south-facing balconies with mountain views. Traditional wood décor, plush carpets, flat-screen TVs, and WiFi complement private baths, though some bathrooms may feel dated and wall thickness varies.
Dining is a highlight: breakfast includes a full buffet plus hot options, and dinner is a sophisticated 5-course menu featuring French and regional Savoyard fare. The wine selection is extensive, and the bar area is warm and inviting, especially by the fireplace.
La Savoyarde’s wellness area includes a jacuzzi, hammam, sauna, and small gym, making it ideal for post-ski relaxation. Massage and beauty treatments are also offered, though note the spa opens later in the afternoon.
Ski logistics are straightforward—spacious ski lockers, heated boot storage, and an efficient layout. And the main lifts - the Bellevarde Express and Solaise gondolas are a very close walk.
Overall, La Savoyarde punches above its star rating: delivering authentic alpine hospitality at a more affordable price than full-scale luxury hotels. It’s ideal for guests seeking charm, location, and comfort without the high-end price tag.
Who should stay here
