SCOUT REVIEW
La Folie Douce is a super hip and happening hotel in the heart of Chamonix, boasting stunning mountain views and a range of hotel rooms to suit all skiers. Home to the classic après-ski experience, the hotel is friendly and festive and perfect for families and groups.
The hotel offers 250 rooms, ranging from hostel bunk rooms to chic premium rooms with wonderful mountain views. The Hostel rooms are cosy and comfortable, boasting bunk beds in shared rooms (either with other mixed gendered or Female-Only rooms), each with ensuite bathroom, and the option to upgrade to a bed with access to the on-site spa. They're basic but have everything you need for a shorter stay, and ideal for solo skiers and groups of friends who plan to spend the most of their time on the slopes (or at Folie Douce). Access rooms are the next step up, and offer a great grange of bedding configurations (king rooms, bunk beds), particularly for families and groups. The Family room is fantastic, boasting larger living space and with a mix of single bunk beds, and king beds. The Premium rooms are the most spacious and elegant, offering the ultimate in comfort and sophistication. Oozing with contemporary mountain charm, choose from standard queen bed or king/split king beds, each with ensuite bathroom and great views. For families, the Premium Family Room or Premium Suite are highly recommended, boasting a king bed and two twin beds and more space to spread out. Premium and Access rooms have complimentary access to the on-site pool and spa at Folie Douce.
La Folie Douce offers a great range of facilities and amenities for a longer stay in Chamonix. Scout loves the huge range of restaurant, cafe, and bar options to choose from each day - from traditional cuisine, chic bistros, and homemade pizza to grab-and-go. The Feel Good Club at the hotel is perfect for relaxation, boasting a heated outdoor pool, sauna and steam rooms, relaxation rooms, and sun terrace. It is the perfect spot to treat yourself to a post-ski massage or treatment. The hotel also has on-site childcare, ski rental shop, and free shuttle service.
Best of all, La Folie Douce is THE place for après-ski in Chamonix. Enjoy an energising live concert or a chilled drink in the sunshine (with delicious food to match), or head inside to the Janssen Cocktail Club for a cosy evening.
For families (and skiers alike) who seek a fantastic hotel in the heart of the action of Chamonix, La Folie Douce is a top choice.

The thriving town is heaving with fat-ski-carrying, harness-wearing mountain types, and there are several resorts in the area to choose from. If you’re an intermediate or beginner, fear not as you don’t need to be an expert to enjoy a trip to Chamonix.
