SCOUT REVIEW
Ciasa Salares is a wonderful hotel in a secluded location of the Alta Badia ski area in the Dolomites. Owned by the Wieser family for three generations, they have a true love of food and hospitality and this really shows in the levels of service offered throughout. Experience, friendliness and exceptional attention-to-detail have been passed down through the generations which enables Ciasa Salares to live up to its four-star reputation.
If you are a foodie then you will love Ciasa Salares. It's gourmet restaurant is Michelin starred and during one of their degustation meals you will be treated to a visit to the cheese room and the chocolate room which features 120 types of chocolate - now that's Scout's kind of room! However one thing that might top the chocolate room for you is a visit to the cellar which is home to 24,000 bottles of wine from all over the world. It's a treat to have a tour of this amazing cellar and taste some of these wines and well worth booking in a wine tasting experience during your stay.
Rooms at Ciasa Salares have a minimalist alpine style with plenty of wood throughout. There are simple standard rooms and deluxe suites with the Salares suite even featuring a chocolate surprise. Some of the rooms have fantastic views of the mountains.
The wellness center at Ciasa Salares uses natural products in order to provide relaxing treatments and features a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and more.
Ciasa Salares is situated in the hamlet of Armentarola which is at the very end of the Alta Badia ski area. There is a ski lift a short walk across the road. There aren't any other restaurants, shops or bars around here so it's best for those seeing a bit of solace and looking to experience the hotel's amazing food.
