SCOUT REVIEW
Hotel Becket, part of the Trademark Collection by Wyndham, is a fun and functional base for skiers looking to stay right in the heart of Heavenly, California. Just a short stroll from the Heavenly Gondola and the lively Heavenly Village, this hotel is all about location, energy, and accessibility.
The property combines two former motels — the rustic Timber Lodge and the contemporary Tahoe Blue building — creating a mix of cozy mountain vibes and modern comfort. The décor nods to its alpine surroundings with reclaimed wood accents, earthy tones, and a touch of quirky personality. Rooms vary from simple doubles to family-friendly suites, many featuring fireplaces, kitchenettes, or soaking tubs. While not luxury-level, they’re clean, comfortable, and perfect for travelers who plan to spend most of their time on the slopes or enjoying après-ski.
Après is where Hotel Becket shines. The on-site restaurant and bar draw in both guests and locals for hearty meals, craft cocktails, and live music. Outside, the communal fire pit and hot tub become social hubs in the evenings. Skiers will also appreciate the practical perks: ski storage, self-service laundry, and pet-friendly rooms make it easy to settle in for a few days.
Overall, Hotel Becket is a great choice for those who want to be in the thick of the action — close to lifts, nightlife, and all the winter buzz Heavenly is known for.

About Heavenly
Heavenly Mountain Resort is ginormous – a whopping 4800ac (1943ha) makes it the biggest ski area in California. In keeping with the terrain, the party scene is equally as big - a ski holiday here might be the type where you need to take a holiday afterwards to recover. But families shouldn’t be afraid of coming here either. The mountain is certainly big and diverse enough for everyone to enjoy.
