SCOUT REVIEW
Hotel Becket (previously 968 Park Hotel) is a simple, motel-style property just five minutes from the Heavenly Gondola. Recently renovated with modern interiors, Hotel Becket is a welcoming property to return to each night after a day on the slopes.
Hotel Becket offers a good range of guestrooms, with the option of king, two queen bed, or two double bed configurations. Although it is more like a motel than hotel, the rooms are quite modern having undergone a recent renovation. The suites boast a little extra room to spread out, particularly great for small families (our those travelling with lots of ski gear!). All rooms offer a desk space and a mini fridge. Scout loves the family friendly suites on offer, which include multiple bunk bed options (single/single and single over queen) to suit any family. It's a great value option for families in Heavenly.
The hotel boasts a restaurant and bar on site so guests don't even need to venture in to the village for dining or après ski fun. The Ten Crows Restaurant serves up classic American smokehouse barbeque meals which will please all the family. Other features that are perfect for après ski are the hot tub, sauna and firepit. The hot tub is continually bubbling away awaiting your return and the fire pit is a lovely place to sit with a hot drink under the night sky. There is a resort fee included in the price which covers continental breakfast daily, WiFi, parking, phone calls and use of the hot tub, pool and sauna.
Hotel Becket is located across the main road from Heavenly Village base area where there is the main gondola heading up to the slopes, as well as a bunch of amenities including a cinema, bowling alley, ice skating rink and plenty of shops and restaurants.
Hotel Becket is a good lodging option in Heavenly, ideal for those wanting simple hotel style accommodation close to the gondola but without breaking the bank.
Who should stay here
Hotel Becket is great for couples and families seeking a conveniently-located ski hotel (close to the slopes) without the frills of a large chain hotel.
Location
Hotel Becket is located in the town of South Lake tahoe just across the road from the Heavenly Village with plenty of bars, shops, restaurants and cafes on your doorstep. The Heavenly Gondola is situated around five minutes from the front rooms of Hotel Becket so can easily be reached in ski boots.

About Heavenly
Heavenly Mountain Resort is ginormous – a whopping 4800ac (1943ha) makes it the biggest ski area in California. In keeping with the terrain, the party scene is equally as big - a ski holiday here might be the type where you need to take a holiday afterwards to recover. But families shouldn’t be afraid of coming here either. The mountain is certainly big and diverse enough for everyone to enjoy.
