SCOUT REVIEW
Previously known as the Vail Cascade Resort and Hotel Talisa, Grand Hyatt Vail offers a ski-in ski-out tranquil retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of the main Vail Villages. As with any Grand Hyatt-branded property, not only are the interiors and facilities exceptional but the friendly staff are willing to go over and above at every occasion to ensure you have a memorable stay.
The guest rooms and suites at The Grand Hyatt Vail have been designed with nature, comfort and style in mind, with a wonderful sleek Scandinavian vibe to them. Each room features large windows to allow light to flood in and for you to make the most of the views. Comfortable bedding, private balconies, modern bathrooms with plush towelling and robes and flatscreen TVs all add to your luxurious stay. Scout loves the seemingly calm & quiet feel to the rooms, almost like a little private sanctuary for guests. Entry level rooms are modern and spacious, with either a king bed or two queens. The highlight of the Deluxe Rooms are the bathrooms, with incredible soaker tubs and fantastic mountain views. The Suites offer even more room, more like a 1 bedroom unit, with a separate bedroom and living spaces. For families, there are two bedroom suites available, which boast a king bed and two queen beds, a kitchenette, two bathrooms, a large lounge area, balcony, and dining area for sharing meals. They offer great views, and Scout loves the little reading nooks; the perfect spot to enjoy an afternoon reading.
The in-room facilities are only half of the show though. The hotel provides guests with a huge range of spa facilities including pools, hot tubs, a sauna and steam room and more. The Grand Hyatt Vail also offers a daily continental breakfast (extra), apres ski cocktails and a dining menu with plenty of selections to get your taste buds tingling. There is a supermarket on site for any necessities, retail and rental shops, and a laundry service. The steakhouse restaurant, Gessner, offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with cute booths serving up modern mountain cuisine, or dine on fresh sushi at Makoto Vail. The kids will love the virtual golf and other fun games at Topgolf Swing Suites. These are all before you even mention the on-site chair lift, Cascade, to take you straight up into the mountains (hello no lift lines!). The ski valet at The Grand Hyatt Vaail is one-of-a-kind, promising that 'no guest will ever carry a piece of equipment' during their stay, and provide fantasic service including assisting with your ski boots.
Although The Grand Hyatt Vail is located around 30 minutes walk from the centre of Vail, the location beside Gore Creek is tranquil and laid-back and the regular shuttle service allows you to nip into Vail or Lionshead Village within 5 minutes.
The Grand Hyatt Vail boasts incredible service and modern hotel rooms, ideal for solo skiers, couples, and smaller families, who don't need to be in the heart of the action in Vail. Rather, it provides a somewhat exclusive and luxurious experience that guests are sure to remember.

About Vail
If Aspen is Hollywood then Vail is Wall St - popular with the money-never-sleeps-but-it-does-wear-Bogner set. Attracting tens of thousands of visitors a year, it’s quite the place to be seen, and to ski! Luxury is standard at Vail, the pedestrian-friendly village weaves around the buildings and has a wonderful European-style feel to it. The mountain terrain (one of the largest in the world) boasts perfectly groomed corduroy, powder stashes galore, and pristine tree skiing. Team this up with endless accommodation options, easy access from Denver, and one of the best après scenes in North America, it's no surprise Vail is a favourite among local and international ski enthusiasts.
