SCOUT REVIEW
The sprawling site of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge houses 440 guest rooms and log cabins along with a number of great on-site facilities. It is a classic North American style mountain lodge - and the large grounds it sits on with the spectacular Rockies in the distance is the perfect setting. The wonderful main building with its huge lounge and bar area and various restaurants is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink by the log fire. Orsa Trattoria is a top choice for modern Italian steakhouse fare (plus kids eat free!), or visit to Great Hall Gastropub for a more laid-back dining experience. Those seeking a relaxing après after a day on the slopes can't go past the Emerald Lounge.
The comfortable accommodation ranges from standard Fairmont rooms to luxurious suites, allowing all different types of guest to enjoy the lodge. There are also individual cabins available on site, which are perfect for multiple families travelling together or groups of friends. Not only are the rooms at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge well-appointed, they're surprisingly spacious. There are a variety of room options to choose from, and flexible bedding for couples, solo skiers, and families. You can upgrade to Deluxe and Premier rooms for additional space. The Lakeview rooms are particularly beautiful and offer a private balcony overlooking the Lac Beauvert, while other rooms boast a cosy fireplace or woodstove. So many choices!
Other facilities include a fantastic health club (sauna, spa, fitness centre and pools), multiple on-site restaurants and access to activities such as tobogganing and snow-shoeing.
The location of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is spectacular and a highlight within itself when staying at the hotel. It is situated a ten minute drive from the town of Jasper. Taking in the picturesque mountains and the glistening emerald green of Lac Beauvert, it’s no surprise that Jasper National Park is a UNESCO world heritage site. Where better to relax after a day on the slopes!

About Marmot Basin
Marmot Basin, located in the stunning Jasper National Park, is a fantastic and affordable option for individuals and families in Canada. The resort is a little smaller than others in the Alberta region, however don't let this dissuade you - Marmot boasts a great variety of terrain, relaxed and friendly mountain atmosphere, uncrowded slopes, and virtually no lift lines (what we like to hear!). Enjoy long groomed runs, open alpine bowls, and memorable tree skiing during the day, and an authentic Canadian Rockies mountain village feel at night in the nearby town of Jasper. It's a small town feeling with world class facilities and skiing which has us dreaming of heading back to Marmot Basin!
