SCOUT REVIEW
The Axtel condominiums are all about location, location, location. You can't get much closer to the lifts! Centrally located and with ski-in, ski-out access to the Silver Queen ski lift, these one bedroom condos are best suited to those who will be spending the majority of their time on the slopes.
The condos are basically furnished and include self-catering facilities, private balconies and wood-burning fireplaces to ensure you have a comfortable stay. The kitchens are not the largest or most modern but they do include standard self-catering facilities so you can cook meals throughout your stay. Of course, thanks to Axtel's central location you are close to a range of bars and restaurants so you can easily eat out too. Free wifi is available, and there is a common washer and dryer for convenience. The one bedroom condos come with one or two bathrooms, or you also have the choice of an additional lofted space, which is a great option for small families on a budget who don't want to upgrade to a full 2 bedroom. All the condos are rated at 2 Peak. Bedding varies between each condo, so best to advise Scout upon booking and we can find the perfect condo to suit your needs.
These condos comfortably sleep up to 4 guests (5 in a pinch) so they are a good option for small ski groups and families looking for simple ski-in, ski-out accommodation in Crested Butte. Although Axtel doesn't offer a wide range of on-site facilities, they do have an outdoor hot tub and certain units may even include a private sauna.
If you're seeking a no-fuss ski-in ski-out condo option in the heart of Crested Butte village, Axtel offers great basic condos, close to resort facilities.

About Crested Butte
Crested Butte, with its steeps looming above gentle beginner slopes, is the perfect playground for more adventurous families where luxury is not necessarily important. They’ll mix quite happily with ski bums who come to the resort for its expert terrain and a laid-back, hippie personality. Its historic downtown area is incredibly picturesque - old Victorian mining buildings surrounded by steep mountains with some fantastic restaurants and bars. Excellent ski school, impeccable grooming, and good variety of accommodation rounds out the reasons why Crested Butte is a terrific choice for a ski holiday.
