SCOUT REVIEW
Hotel Aurelio in Lech is a new, stunning boutique hotel that is everything you want in the way of luxury, sophistication and elegance. Just by merely looking at its façade, you know you are in for quite an experience. It is very chic yet comfortable.
Hotel Aurelio is extremely exclusive since it has just 8 deluxe rooms and 2 suites. All the rooms are spacious with picture windows and balconies facing the village valley and the pistes. The rooms were designed with a contemporary elegant style and a hint of Alpine, reflected in its wood paneling and splashes of grey and white colors. The rooms are equipped with 5-star amenities including multi-media entertainment systems. The bathrooms are large with a window through to the bedroom allowing you to see the views. There are separate showers and baths with two sinks and ample storage for couples.
As you could imagine from a hotel of this quality, gourmet restaurant, Aurelio’s, is exceptional. It serves traditional and modern Austrian specialties and international dishes. Chef de Cuisine Christian Rescher and Souschef Markus Niederwanger were recently awarded with 4 toques in the Gault Millau guide. You can also enjoy lunch or drinks at the Sundeck which affords you breathtaking views of the mountains. Scout loves the relaxing lounge area with its big comfy couches and arm chairs where you can mingle with other guests and enjoy delicious pastries and cakes that are laid out every afternoon.
For such a small hotel, the Spa is a big surprise. It features sauna cabins, herbal baths, vital sensory showers, aroma salt steam rooms, a snow atrium, cooling down experiences, relaxing areas and a vitality bar where you can have your fill of fresh fruits, healthy snacks and tea. It also has a huge 23 meter indoor lap pool, and if that’s not enough there’s an additional 18 meter pool in the clubhouse adjacent to the hotel. The best part of this spa is that, given Aurelio’s small size, it is never crowded. There’s also a fitness center with modern cardio equipment and weight machines.
It would be easy to fall in love with Hotel Aurelio after staying a few nights here, and also to fall in love with Lech. At night time the stars in the sky and the lights twinkling from the village seem to be one and the same. It’s simply magical.
