SCOUT REVIEW
Akazora Niseko is a sleek, modern apartment-style hotel located right in the heart of Hirafu Village—one of Niseko’s most vibrant and convenient bases for skiing. Designed with functionality and comfort in mind, Akazora offers studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments that blend Japanese design simplicity with Western comfort.
Each apartment comes equipped with a full kitchen, laundry facilities, and a spacious living area—ideal for travelers who appreciate the freedom to cook their own meals or unwind after a day on the slopes. The interiors are bright, contemporary, and thoughtfully designed, with large windows that flood the rooms with natural light (and, in some units, stunning views of Mount Yotei).
While Akazora doesn’t have the amenities of a full-service hotel—there’s no on-site restaurant, spa, or pool—it makes up for it with location and convenience. The Ace Family lift is only a short walk away, and the property is surrounded by Hirafu’s best restaurants, bars, and shops. Guests also have access to ski storage and drying rooms, as well as friendly front desk staff who can help with everything from restaurant bookings to local recommendations.
Overall, Akazora Niseko offers a smart balance of comfort, flexibility, and value. It’s particularly appealing for independent travelers and families who want a spacious home base within walking distance of Niseko’s slopes and nightlife.
Who should stay here
Ideal for couples, small families, or groups of friends who want a modern, self-catering stay close to Niseko’s lifts, restaurants, and après-ski action.
Scout Customer Reviews
Akazora was amazing. The apartment was great but it was the staff who were just wonderful. They went above and beyond many times, including one manager who found a neurosurgeon on New Years Eve after our daughter hit her head. Alistair, Scout Customer 2017.
