SCOUT REVIEW
Black Bear Lodge is a good-value mid-mountain condo property in Deer Valley that is perfect for those seeking self-catering accommodation without the hefty price-tag of ski-in, ski-out luxury. The rustically-styled alpine condos are great for couples and families and feature everything you need for a self-contained ski vacation.
Although Black Bear does not offer a whole wealth of hotel-style facilities, they do feature an on-site gym, pool and hot tub and many of the condos even boast their own private hot tub on the patio or balcony! Black Bear Lodge caters for a wide range of groups as it features one, two, three and four-bedroom condos with a variety of bedding configurations. Some condos include a master bedroom and smaller loft area while others feature a number of ensuite bedrooms to accommodate the whole family. Each unit embodies the rustic elegance of a mountain retreat, with a log exterior and interior log accents, and natural stone fireplaces. Scout loves the spacious lounge areas, and updated kitchens that provide everything you need for a self-catered stay. Each of the units at Black Bear Lodge are individually owned and therefore some have been more recently updated than others.
A 24h front desk and daily housekeeping service is not provided as standard, but where possible staff will be on hand to help you throughout your stay. An upgrade to daily housekeeping is also an option.
Black Bear Lodge is located in the Silver Lake Village, which is mid-mountain at Deer Valley Resort, and the nearest chairlift is only about a 5 minute walk away. It's across the road from the luxurious Stein Eriksen Lodge, and a number of restaurants & cafes are nearby. Dial-a-Ride is the best option for those heading into downtown Park City.

About Deer Valley
Deer Valley is the ultimate in ski luxury, from its perfect corduroy groomers, to the ski valets who carry your skis from your car to the slopes, or the freshly baked choc-chip cookies at the end of the day, this resort really has thought of everything when it comes to making you happy. Sadly, snowboarders miss out – they’re not welcome at Deer Valley – and it’s this fact that makes it so attractive to many skiers. Multiple winner of the 'Best U.S Resort' title at the World Ski Awards, the Deer Valley resort itself, the facilities, the service (and of course the snow), just has to be experienced to be believed!
