There is a great deal of uncertainty when it comes to future international travel, including for the Northern Hemisphere winter. At Scout, we’re here to help by communicating the best deals on offer for this season as well as the nitty gritty of cancellation policies across the ski resorts. The good news is that most ski resorts and hotels are now extending book-by dates for their Early Bird Deals, giving you a little more time to lock in a great value ski trip. In addition to the list below, many of our lodging suppliers are offering full refunds should travel from your country (or to theirs) still be restricted. We've compiled a list of ski resorts with the best cancellation policies to help you make the right decision when it comes to securing your next ski vacation and take out any worry you might have.
Panorama - 50% Off lodging Early Bird Offer extended until November 30. Plus “no questions asked” cancellation / refund policy until November 30, 2020
Silver Star - Full refund/cancellation up until August 31 on lodging.
Big White - Stay 7 Pay 5 & Stay 10 Pay 7 Deals extended until November 01. Fully refundable until September 01, plus great Peace of Mind policy offering full refunds should travel restrictions be in place from your departing city or country or entry to Canada.
Revelstoke - Stays at Sutton Place are fully refundable until 60 days prior. Plus great Early Bird Deals for bookings made by August 31 & November 15.
Whistler - Most hotels in Whistler are offering full refunds until 30-60 days prior to arrival.
Red Mountain - Full refund/cancellation up until 7 days prior to travel at The Josie Hotel
Niseko - With so many property management companies in Niseko there are quite a few cancellation policies. Some suppliers are offering free cancellation until August 31, others the ability to change travel dates up until 60 days of departure (including credits for 21/22). Early Bird Deals have also been extended.
Nozawa Onsen - Many properties are offering free cancellations until September 30. Most Ryokans and traditional hotels have full refunds until 60 days prior.
Myoko Kogen - Majority of the ryokans and hotels in Myoko offer their standard cancellation policy of full refunds until 60 days prior to arrival.
Hakuba - Most hotels offering free cancellations until October 15. Early Bird Deals have been extended.
Aspen Snowmass - Get lift passes, rentals, and ski & snowboard lessons at last season's prices when you book before August 31. Plus all are fully refundable prior to arrival. Many hotels in Aspen are offering free cancellations until August 31, while others many only have a 10% or one nights lodging fee for cancellations. Early bird deals have been extended.
Beaver Creek - Some properties are offering full refunds on cancellations until 60 days prior to arrival and have extended their Early Bird Offers. Others have full refund/cancellation up until 14 days prior to date of travel.
Jackson Hole - Stays at Teton Mountain Lodge and Hotel Terra are fully refundable until August 31. Plus, 4th Night FREE Offer is valid for bookings made until December 30.
Sun Valley - Stays at Sun Valley Lodge & Inn are fully refundable until 60 days prior to arrival.
Telluride - Majority of hotels are offering 1 nights non-refundable deposit upon booking, plus full payment not required until 60 days prior to arrival.
All Vail Resorts Lodging - Only a $49 non-refundable deposit due at time of booking to secure lodging, and full payment not required until 60 days prior to arrival.
IKON Pass - offering a new Adventure Assurance policy, allowing pass holders to defer their pass and use the credit towards the 21/22 ski season if they are unable to ski this coming 20/21 season. Read more about it here.
