SCOUT REVIEW
The biggest draw of Blackcomb Lodge is its excellent location in the heart of Whistler Village. The hotel is ideally placed for daily enjoyment of the slopes and the village amenities, with bars, shops, restaurants and cafés right on your doorstep and the gondolas just a couple of minutes walk away! While the prime location does make it open to receiving noise of late-night revellers, the rooms towards the back of the hotel are peaceful and quiet and the front rooms receive nothing that a couple of ear plugs couldn't keep out.
The style of Blackcomb Lodge is fairly basic, with hints of alpine interiors throughout. The focus though, is on value, comfort and convenience. Rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped, with decent kitchenette facilities included. These feature a full oven and stovetop which allows for added self-catering capabilities.
While the hotels doesn't have a large boot room and ski locker service like many other hotels in Whistler, they do offer a ski and board storage service. You simply leave your gear in racks in the lobby and these are securely stored overnight.
The hotel also offers on-site spa facilities including an indoor pool and a hot tub. These are located in the basement of the building so aren't the most picturesque, but they still offer a pleasant soak after a day on the slopes.
Blackcomb Lodge is a great value hotel in the heart of Whistler Village, perfect for families seeking hotel-style lodging (some with kitchenettes).
