SCOUT REVIEW
Steeped in history and tradition, Alta Lodge holds claim to being the oldest ski lodge in the Alta ski resort, a fact that they are especially proud of. And so they should be. Alta Lodge boasts an incredible ski-in, ski-out location, fine dining cuisine served in-house, friendly staff and a great range of rooms to suit everyone's preferences. The only thing is, once you’ve experienced it once, chances are you’ll want to experience it again – a statement we can back up by the fact that 70% of the guests at Alta Lodge are return visitors winter after winter.
Alta Lodge is particularly good for families thanks to the kids' club which offers daily activities, free shuttles to the ski school and even a children's dinner. The lodge also provides 'kids stay free' deals during the shoulder seasons.
Rooms at Alta Lodge range from dorm rooms for solo travellers to family rooms and classic double rooms with additional extras such as balconies or fireplaces for an added touch of luxury. Another of Alta Lodge's luxuries are the sauna and hot tub which are both great for relaxing of an evening. If you'd rather a more lively evening, Alta Lodge also boasts a fun après ski scene at the Sitzmark Club, with spectacular mountain views, decent prices, and a chilled out atmosphere. Many locals flock here for a drink after skiing.
We suggest guests choose the full Lodging/Dining Package while staying at Alta Lodge which provides a breakfast buffet as well as lunch and dinner to save the hassle of heading out in the evenings - especially since there are limited dining options in Alta.
Alta Lodge is a fantastic lodging option for a family ski vacation in Alta, or for couples and solo skiers seeking unbeatable ski-in ski-out location and a happening lodge vibe.
Who should stay here
Alta Lodge is great for couples, families and solo travelers alike who are seeking a ski-in, ski-out lodge style hotel with friendly staff, delicious food and a fun vibe.
Location
