Scout tips

  • Ski Tip lodge is located in a quiet, wooded area.
  • It is a very old building. Noise may travel.
  • Not for those with mobility problems due to the small corridors and stairs.

Ski Tip Lodge is one of Scout's picks for best places to stay for romantic ski getaways, it's like stepping back in time. Although Scout only toured the lodge it took all our strength not to snuggle up in under of the down comforters on the antique four poster beds.

Ski Tip Lodge in Keystone was once a stagecoach stop and its transformation as an upscale B&B is truly fantastic. All of the lobby and common areas have antique furniture. Thoughout the hotel there are nooks and crannies to explore, or you can collapse into one of the big arm chairs in a lounge area with crackling wood fire place and historic photos and ornaments dotted around. It's the perfect place to relax for a few drinks before dinner. The dining room is equally as cute and is where guests will enjoy a good breakfast.

There are three different types of rooms to choose from; a private room with queen bed and private bathroom, a two-bedroom suite with one queen bed and two twin beds adjoined by a private bathroom, or a private bedroom with queen bed and shared bathroom. Note that this room's toilet is shared with the restaurant though the shower facilities are not used by any other patrons.

Who should stay here

Ski Tip Lodge is perfect for those seeking a charming ski vacation and is particularly good for couples on a romatic getaway.
