Hotel Alpenroyal is a great family friendly resort hotel, located away from the hustle and bustle of the main city centre. Enjoy a quieter location with great views of the Matterhorn, but within easy walking distance of everything. A private elevator takes guests from the hotels elevated position down to the river level and from there it's only a few minutes walk to the Sunnegga Funicular (to get to the slopes) or a 10 minute stroll to the main street.
The traditional-style hotel boasts a great range of room options for couples and families, ranging from standard double rooms to larger apartments. Bedding is super flexible throughout, and rooms are basic but cosy and comfortable and good value. Scout recommends the deluxe rooms, which offer high ceilings, a balcony or terrace and views of the Matterhorn. A hearty breakfast is included daily, with a good selection of local fare.
Enjoy the on-site wellness centre at Hotel Alpenroyal, featuring sauna, steam room, whirlpool and swimming pool; a great spot to unwind after a day on the slopes. While the facilities are a little dated, your muscles won't care!
Hotel Alpenroyal enjoys a lovely secluded spot away from the main centre, however, the local bus stop (and main street) are only a few minutes walk away.

Hotel Alpenroyal is located in a tranquil location situated in an elevated position above the river. However an elevator for hotel guests only whisks you to the river level and from there it's only a few minutes walk to the Sunnegga Funicular (to get to the slopes) or a 10 minute stroll to the main street.
